Tim Hortons Thanksgiving Hours 2026 (Oct 12): Open or Closed? + Stack Update
Tim Hortons does not have one Thanksgiving schedule for every restaurant. Each location sets its own holiday hours, so some will be open on Monday, October 12, 2026, some will have reduced hours, and some will be closed. Before you head out, look up your restaurant in the Tims app to confirm its holiday hours.

Is Tim Hortons Open Thanksgiving Day 2026?
It depends on the restaurant. Most Tim Hortons locations are run by independent owners, and each owner decides how to handle a holiday. This year, Canadian Thanksgiving lands on Monday, October 12.
Since there’s no single national schedule, the safest move is to check the exact location you plan to visit. Our Tim Hortons Near Me guide can help you find one, and our Tim Hortons Holiday Hours Canada guide covers other holidays.
Why Tim Hortons Thanksgiving Hours Differ
- Franchise owners: Independent operators can set their own holiday hours.
- Big cities and highways: Busy locations may keep regular hours to serve travellers.
- Small towns and suburbs: Some restaurants may open later or close earlier.
- 24-hour locations: Even if a restaurant is normally open around the clock, confirm its holiday hours.
- Drive-thru vs. dining room: The two can run on different schedules.
How to Check Tim Hortons Hours on Thanksgiving
- Tim Hortons app: Select your restaurant and review its listed hours and menu.
- Tim Hortons website: Use the official Tim Hortons website to find a nearby restaurant.
- Call the restaurant: This is the most reliable way to confirm holiday hours, drive-thru service, and menu availability.
Holiday hours can differ from the regular schedule shown online, so a quick call can save you an unnecessary trip.
